Visit of the Prefect of Val-de-Marne
formation, insertion et engagement territorial
Published on March 13, 2026We often talk about economics and inclusion. But it all starts with something simple: going into the field and meeting those who take action. It is in this spirit that the ESTYA Group had the honour of welcoming, on Monday 9 March, Étienne Stoskopf, Prefect of Val-de-Marne, accompanied by Naaïma Mejani, Sub-Prefect in charge of economic development, along with teams from the DRIEETS.
A visit to the heart of the fire safety industry
The meeting was held at the ESTYA group, specifically at ERIS, its integrator in the Île-de-France region. It was an opportunity to discuss the economic dynamics of the region and the realities of an often overlooked but essential sector: fire safety and personal protection.
Detecting the onset of a fire, securing a building and protecting lives are the daily tasks of the technicians trained and recruited by ESTYA. These are technical, regulated, fast-growing and meaningful professions.
The FIRST Academy: training and integrating local talent
At the heart of this visit was a presentation of the F.I.R.S.T. Academy: ESTYA’s training and professional integration programme, founded in 2008.
Faced with a shortage of qualified personnel in the fire safety sector, ESTYA decided to bring training in-house by creating its own Qualiopi-certified centre, which awards the TMTSSI Professional Qualification (Fire Safety Systems Maintenance and Works Technician – level IV, RNCP 37294), recognised by the Ministry of Labour.
Since its creation, the FIRST Academy has trained more than 200 work-study students, with results that speak for themselves: 86% pass rate, 86% satisfaction rate and 92% permanent employment rate. The FIRST Academy is aimed in particular at people from neighbourhoods covered by the City Policy, with an inclusive and individualised approach that makes all the difference.

A long-term commitment to the region
Committed since 2021 to the national ‘Les entreprises s’engagent’ (Businesses Commit) initiative, the ESTYA group, through ERIS, believes that economic performance and regional responsibility go hand in hand.
This visit by the prefect is concrete proof of this: direct exchanges with our teams and our learners highlighted the cooperation needed between the State and businesses to support economic and social change in our regions.
At ESTYA, our commitment is not limited to building safety. It also translates into concrete actions in favour of employment, training and integration. [Find out more]
A meeting that marks a milestone
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Prefect Étienne Stoskopf, Deputy Prefect Naaïma Mejani, and the entire delegation for the quality of these discussions and the interest shown in our activities, our teams, and our learners.
This visit confirms that the ESTYA model, which is rooted in the field, focused on people and committed to local communities, resonates far beyond our sector.
